Gran Via. 11th event
Piscina 2013 was a landmark for the show and
turned Barcelona into the world capital of the new
water culture, which combines welfare, sports,
leisure, pleasure and health.
Over four days, the the Gran Via venue
received the most important companies of the
sector of residential swimming pools, wellness and
sports, and recreational aquatic facilities, 62% of
which were international. The event, which brought
together exhibitors from 26 countries, reinforced
its internationality: 45% of the more than 17,000
professional visitors were foreign, coming from
almost a hundred countries, including France,
Italy, United Kingdom, Sweden, Israel, Germany,
Argentina, United States, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine,
Morocco and Arab Emirates.
With the aim of widening its offer and turning
into a knowledge and networking platform for
the sector, the event hosted the first edition of
the Wellness & Spa Experiences Event, which
gathered a reputed group of international experts
who emphasised the essential elements needed
for a wellness centre that aspires to combine
quality and profitability.
In addition to wellness, Piscina tackled on the
world of fitness, coinciding for two days with Body
Life Barcelona, an event specialized in the fitness
sector organised by Health Beauty and Fira, which
presented proposals for equipment, management
and design of sports facilities. With this joint
offer, Piscina Barcelona showcased a complete
picture of the new concept of welfare to all the
professionals interested in the world of water,
health and sports.
