MIHealth Forum
Health, Management & Clinical Innovation Forum
26-28/June
Montjuïc. 2nd event
In its second event, MIHealth gathered
professional visitors and experts from the medical,
health management, political and industrial fields.
Over three days, it featured 70 speakers
of international prestige who discussed
the challenges faced by health systems in the
near future marked by stagnating expenses
in the sector.
Among the speakers were Ellen Goodman,
journalist and driving force behind The
Conversation Project; Heitham Hassoun, medical
director at Johns Hopkins Medical International
Hospital; John Bingham, vice president and
Chief Quality Officer at the MD Anderson Cancer
Center; Jeanine Vos, executive director for
mHealth at GSMA, an association representing
the interests of companies in the mobile spectrum
around the world, and organizer of Mobile
World Congress; and John Cochrane, executive
director of the Kaiser Permanente Federation,
among others.
After various conferences and debates,
the attendees agreed that only by combining
innovation, efficiency, use of technological
resources and a change in healthcare culture
by professionals and users, currents health
systems will be preserved and improved.
With the aim of setting the trends in the
sector and turning into the main debate forum
for the challenges of a constantly evolving field,
MIHealth Forum created the ISAM (International
Scientific Advisory Board), a committee of experts
from leading international institutions that
will work to write the congress and scientific
programmes.
