International Fair on Hairstyling, Aesthetics and Wellness

The show for professionals from the aesthetics
and hairstyling business closed with a
positive assessment and reaffirmed itself as
meeting point of the sector. This year, the event
emphasized its professionalization, with
a new online pre-registration system,
continuing training, the internationalisation,
and the promotion of business to foster the
beauty market.
This event received 20% of foreign visitors,
coming from France, Italy, United Stated,
Germany, China, Taiwan, Ukraine, Russia and
Hong Kong, among other countries.
Besides the exhibition area, which showcased
the latest trends in hairstyling, aesthetics,
cosmetics and wellness, the event also offered
several training opportunities. For three days,
more than 35 talks, workshops, shows,
demonstrations and conferences were presented
by top experts and attended by more than 6,000
professionals.
Worthy of special mention was the Congress
of Aesthetics and Hairstyling, which covered the
new trends in figure reshape, massage techniques
used in spas all over the world, the latest trends
in make-up and manicure for the 2013 spring-
summer season, as well as hairstyling innovations.
Also very popular were the sessions hosted by
engineer José Vidal and lawyer Gonzalo Fuster-
Fabra on how to make the most of personal talent
and how to find new business opportunities to
face the economic crisis.
The «Barcelona Hair Fashion» catwalk was
another highlight of the show, presenting the
latest trends in colour tones, hairstyles and
haircuts by renowned stylists, as well as the Body
Make-up Competition.
