FIRA DE BARCELONA

          | 2013 REPORT

While we are starting to glimpse the positive

symptoms of a change in tendency in our

country’s economy, the truth is that 2013 has

          been a difficult year.

In these circumstances, Fira de Barcelona has

achieved very positive results, which reveal good

management, the accomplishment of clear goals

to support SMEs and entrepreneurs in our city,

and a firm contribution to the invigoration of

Barcelona and its metropolitan area. Revenues

reached 117 million euros, a substantially higher

          figure than the initial estimates.

Over 2013, a great number of shows, congresses

and events took place, of capital importance

to the city and to Catalonia as a whole, which

reinforced Fira as a major economical platform

in Europe. This intense activity reveals the

significance and strength of Barcelona as an

international reference, in areas as diverse as

          technology, industry, innovation, design and

          activities with high added value.
